Contamac developed the Definitive silicone hydrogel material range, with its advanced polymer matrix that uses the very latest technology, as the benchmark for a new generation of lathe-cut materials. Its unique surface qualities, outstanding levels of on-eye comfort and range of high-level Dks (that promote corneal health), ensure that Definitive materials are suitable for producing the widest range of lens designs.

Definitive materials can be machined in the same manner as other traditional hydrogels, but – with similar moduli to comparative water content hydrogel materials – don’t suffer the mechanical complications often associated with them.
